Cristiano Ronaldo says he is looking forward to start working with Rafa Benitez as Real Madrid's new coach. Benitez has a crucial role in Madrid as the club prepare to kick off their pre-season on July 10.
The reigning Ballon D'Or winner has never played for the 55 year old before, although they faced each other as rivals on numerous occasions with Manchester United and Liverpool between 2004 and 2009. Benitez was appointed as Carlo Ancelotti's successor at Madrid and Ronaldo offered his support to his outgoing boss who was sacked at the end of last season.
“I’ve never worked with him before, but he’s a coach with a lot of experiences,” Ronaldo told to SNTV.“We’ll see if we can win major trophies. I really want to start working with Benitez", Cristiano added.
CR7 even gave a warning to Benitez, saying that ‘it’s a challenge to manage at the biggest club in the world’.
On asking about his team mate Sergio Ramos exit rumours, Ronaldo gave a very short answer: "I know nothing.”
