Maradona on CR7,s side...

Portugal’s talisman Cristiano Ronaldo has been predicted to be the main star of Euro 2016, starting on June 10 in France, by the legendary player of Argentina national team Diego Maradona.

Maradona lavished praise on the Madrid forward, while also meeting and burying the hatchet with the Brazilian icon, Pele, at a promotional event named ‘The Friendship Game’.

“Cristiano will be the star, no doubt. He’s one of those players who practically on his own can put a team in the final. He’s the heritage of football. Anyone who likes football, likes Cristiano,” Maradona said without any doubt.

Maradona said "Ronaldo will undoubtedly be the main star of the Euro-2016. He's one of those players who can lead the team and independently decide the outcome of any match.
He said the player of such a level will not be exposed to pressure. But the defenders, who will play against him, will be under pressure."

The 1986 world cup legend completely dismissed the notion that the Portuguese side have been accused of being a one-man team, with the pressure of the entire nation resting on Ronaldo’s shoulders and it would affect the  Real Madrid star.

Another interesting news is that just a day before, Maradona expressed his opinion about the Argentine striker of Barcelona, Lionel Messi, saying that he lacks the character to be a leader.
