Real Madrid star footballer Cristiano Ronaldo is set to be the subject of an upcoming documentary feature film, says various reports.
According to the latest reports, the documentary which is entiitled "Ronaldo" will be ready for screening during this autumn. The film which is been directed by BAFTA winning Anthony Wonke is in post production stage. Wonke is famous for his work on "The Tower: A Tale of Two Cities."
In a post on Facebook on Wednesday, the Real Madrid player said: “I’m happy to confirm that there’s a film being produced about me. Stay tuned for more info at https://www.facebook.com/RonaldoFilm and @RonaldoFilm in twitter.” The documentary was shot throughout Madrid, Lisbon, Madeira, Brazil and the US.
British film maker Anthony Wonke has three Bafta awards and an Emmy nomination in a career spanning 15 years. He is famous for producing a number of feature documentaries, series and award-winning commercials.
Besides the current Ronaldo documentary, Wonke recently completed the award winning 'Children on the Frontline', a Dispatches documentary special for ITN’s Channel 4 about children coping in the Syrian civil war.
According to the synopsis, the film will portrait a year in the life of the world’s best groomed football player.
Variety reports that the documentary is set for release in the fall.
