Singaporean business tycoon Peter Lim,owner of the Primera
Division Club Valencia, was lucky enough as Ronaldo,the FIFA World Player of
the Year, has sold his image rights to Mr.Peter Lim.
According to American
business magazine Forbes, the Real Madrid star,Ronaldo, banked a reported £50 million the previous year as salary, bonus
and endorsements, and thus making him the highest-paid team athlete.
"I am very excited to announce my latest deal with Mint
Media, owned by my good friend, businessman Peter Lim from Singapore, to
acquire my image rights.” , an official Cristiano Ronaldo website reports. “This
is a very strategic move for me and my management team to take the Cristiano
Ronaldo brand to the next level, especially in Asia.”, the football star says.
The Mint Media, owned
by Mr.Peter Lim is a Hong Kong-based company. Lim acquired a 70.4 percent stake
in Valencia 13 months ago.
